Grace is the divine aspect to all we do, the believe in the existence of a greater power, one who can will things and situations in our favour. Depending on your level of faith, there are greats odds you believe this.
Work. Work must be done for anything to happen. There was must be input to get output. I think there's a general consensus on this one irrespective of your faith, experience and background. What differs here is the level and quality of work.
All my life, I've prided myself as a product of both Grace and Work and with good reason. I work as hard and as smart as I can to control the things within my power but then, there's been several times I got favours and opportunities which I clearly didn't deserve.
There's one last part you and I usually forget: PEOPLE.
We are products of socialization. Everything happens to us because we know someone or are connected to someone. Our achievements, our businesses, our education, our jobs, our relationships, everything!
I might have overlooked this last part for sometime, but it's time to turn a new leaf. Starting this month and for the rest of the year, I'd be doing the 20/20 challenge.
I like to look at the 20/20 challenge as a relationship corrector. It's basically where myself and a few other people call 20 people on our contact list on the 20th of every month just to see how they are doing. Not to ask them for favours, not for business, just to check on them to see how they are faring.
WHY?
Two reasons.
First, I noticed that a lot of times, we already have the network for most of what we need. Some of our friends, family members, colleagues or acquaintances could hold the key to our next deal, partnership, job etc or know someone who does.
Asides that, 2020 has been a long and tiring year for a lot of people. Many have lost jobs, businesses and loved ones. It is always a good thing to reach out to those that are dear to us to see how they are doing and reassure them that all will be fine.
WHAT NEXT?
Since it has two 'twenties,' it would be perfect to have a small group of 20 people doing this challenge(i.e. myself and 19 others). There are more than 19 people reading this newsletter so if this sounds like something you'd be interested in, click the link below and join fast:
